  • Tomorrow!

Tomorrow, my mom and I fly from State College at 12:25 to Detroit and then to Tampa, FL.  Saturday at noon or so, we can board our Royal Caribbean cruise ship, the SS Better Not Make Me Nauseous, for our five night cruise to Key West and Cozumel, Mexico!

Everyone is saying that they are jealous of me, but if you happen to be one of those who say, “Hey, how can I pray for you,” I wanted to let you know.

    1. I get motion sick very easily: backseats of cars, planes, IMAX movies, pool rafts… I am not sure how I will do on a big, ol’ boat. I’ve got lots of Bonine (which is like Dramamine, but it usually works for me).  Let’s just pray I’m fine!

    2. I had not thought much about the weather–rain and all. I pray that it will be nice! Weather.com says it will be, although cool in FL (50′s) and 75 in Key West. (poor me? NOT!)

    3. You can remember the family at home without mommy. Well, they might miss me. Surely someone will!

    4. I suppose the main thing to pray that my mom and I would have a fabulous time and enjoy each other and not gain 6 pounds from just the desserts alone and all those other things. Also, may I be a witness to those around me on the cruise!   Be ready in season and out of season…

This is actually a picture of Key West. Ooooh.

  • I’m not jealous of the weather, the deserts maybe, but I’ll be sure to pray.  Take sunscreen, trust me, I got fried today and it was only 75!  Oh and I’m sure Dr. J will miss you.

  • I will be praying for all of those things my dear.  Have a great time.

  • I AM jealous–that you get to go and do something with your MOM. That sounds like a huge amount of fun!!

  • I am slightly jealous, but sooo happy for you!  I’ll be praying.  Enjoy yourself!

  • Do you have a map in case the captain takes a wrong turn? (Smile.) Have a great time. I will pray for your family, your motion sickness, and your time making lasting memories with your mom. I am so happy that you are able to do this!

  • Oh, how delightful. I’m eager to hear how wonderful it was. Happy for you.

  • Sounds lovely!  Enjoy yourself and don’t get sick, either from the motion or from anything else!  Eat some of that marvelous beautiful food for me!

  • I’m woefully behind on my Xanga subs because I’m in the throes of moving to Albuquerque. I can’t wait to read about your cruise and find out how the motion/sea sickness went. I’ve only been on one cruise, our honeymoon, and we bought me those weird wrist thingees that look like narrow sweat bands and press a bead-like thing into your wrist. They worked for me, though looked terrible with my evening dress   I’m hoping you had a great time, and looking forward to reading about it some time.
