Let Them Eat birthday Cake!
LibbyK turned 14 Wednesday last.

Wit turns 16 on Thursday.

LittleMiss turns 9 a week from Sunday.

The big question: Will loser mom get it all together enough to bake at least one cake? Magic 8 Ball says, “Outlook Not So Good.”

Woohoo! I am first! Do I get a special award for this, lol? Your kids are gorgeous. My youngest is turning 8 tomorrow. I will post her picture on my blog, hopefully by tomorrow
It’s amazing how time flies, isn’t it?
Wow, lots of birthdays! At least a lot of them get out of the way, I guess.
Obviously, you become quite fertile after the New Year. (grin) Wow- so many bdays right in a row!!!
I wouldn’t put so much stock in an 8 balls intuition. *LOL*
Little Miss shares a birthday with a lot of other young people I know.
You need a kid who doesn’t like cake (like me — I always wanted birthday apple pie).
like the birthday portraits. you could put candles on scoops of ice cream.
there are many different ways to celebrate a birthday.
Oh… LibbyK seems older than Wit !!! lol You know, my nephew and I were both born in July but we ALWAYS have our own cake. He has his cake and I have mine because as I’m five years older, it’s easier for the candles !
)
Party, party, party!
I would get an ice cream cake at DQ or Braum’s good luck!
I know your kids are good but be prepared-they lie at this age-big time. My hubby was no hurt the first time he caught Phil in a lie.
We have a few b’days stacked like that too. I say, whew! I agree – go buy a delicious one!!! And enjoy!
Lots of fall birthdays! My daughter’s 16th is next week- so I better come up with a cake too.
Christina says: “Ignore magic ball. You can do it!!!”
Happy Birthday to them all! And that’s what store bought cupcakes are for…birthday emergencies.
Wow, sounds kinda like my family. The last birthday is May 10th, and the first is January 20th. It basically meant no pocket money leftover until late May, haha. My parents are exactly a week apart in May and 2 of my brothers are exactly a week apart in April. Phew!
You’ll find a way to make each feel special.
Happy Birthday kiddos! My are Libby and Rachel gorgeous girls! I also love Witt’s glasses, so Witt!
ugh, I know! Sometimes having “the minute” to make the birthday cake can be the exact thing to send ya over the edge. And it’s a toughie, because ya really want to make their special day even more special, and happy. But, well, sometimes ya have to settle for the alternative. Hey: a huge chocolate chip cookie with chocolate frosted writing sounds like a happy birthday to me!
(Ahem…or a batch of oatmeal raisin for the love-you-to-pieces-fellow!) LOLOL
…and I have to agree with the others who’ve said it/beat me to you: your girls are gorgeous! (But you know that already!) Wit is, underneath those unique specs, a handsome one, too.
Blessings!!
It’s interesting that you put that quote as your title. On this day in 1793, Marie Marie Antoinette was sentenced to be beheaded.
Have fun eating cake!
@BluSmurfGirl -
And somehow you think I didn’t know that already?
Oh, yeah. That’s right. I didn’t.
Wow!! What an exciting week of birthdays. Pick up a cake at Coldstone and don’t worry about baking.
Have fun, and happy birthday to everyone at your house!
LibbyK is so pretty!! And Wit is… er, um… so… uh…. pretty (cough!), too. And, of course, LittleMiss is adorably gorgeous, as well, especially with that beautiful red Sumac behind her! (That is one of my favorite fall plants!)
So…. I guess January and February are good months for you, eh??! (wink!) We have the same thing: one November birthday, 2 (including mine) in December (not to mention our anniversary & Christmas), and 2 in January! Ugh!! No wonder I always gain weight in winter!! We only have one other birthday for the rest of the year and that on is in July. Maybe I’ll start making something other than cake for birthday parties… like… high fiber cereal with a candle on top! … and fruit, definitely fruit! Oooo! Yumm! (gag!!)
We’re going to a park today! Yea! Buh-bye!
Wow…………party down! Here, let me give you a hand……
Sorry about the poor angry man above–he hit my site, too.
I’m encouraged to know that there are other moms who occasionally struggle to get the whole birthday thing together! My son’s 17th birthday in September was a real farce. I did manage to get a cake baked about a half hour before the so-called party, but one of his gifts hadn’t yet arrived, and another I lost. Couldn’t find it for several days, I had hidden it so well. (rolling my eyes!) Sheesh! I can’t even imagine having three birthdays so close together! Yikes!
No cake? How else do you celebrate? We just baked a birthday pumpkin pie for one child. We don’t have three so close together, but we have two within a few days.
