  • Guess Who Was One Mile From My House?

    Sarah Palin.

Yes, Mrs. Sarah Palin made a campaign stop at Way’s Fruit Farm this afternoon which is about a mile from my out-in-the-country house. She had been in Johnstown at at campaign rally thing, and the big McCain bus made an unannounced stop at Way’s during their Apple Festival.  She stayed about 20 minutes, was the focus of a lot of camera shots, and helped her youngest daughter choose a pumpkin.

I was not there.  I was obliviously watching Little Miss cheerleading less than one mile from the spot.  I only found out afterward when Little Miss and I were out walking the dog and one of her eight-year-old buddies came running out to us saying, “I got to shake Sarah Palin’s hand today!”

Quick, somebody look. Are my eyes as green as they feel?

    Here’s the video LINK

(And the little blonde in the second interview is Little Miss’s buddy!)

  • That was so cool. Sorry you didn’t get to see her. That would’ve been awesome. She seems like an awesome lady

  • That is awesome that she was there.

  • Oh, MAN, don’t you just hate it when you narrowly miss out?  Grrr.  So close and yet so far!

  • That’s awesome! We watched her speech there in PA last night, and it’s fun to see that she stopped off at the Fruit Farm there……..I love that gal. She’s on the scene for such a time as this. God bless (& have mercy on) America!!!! Becky :)

  • I would love to meet her!!

  • So cool! I’m jealous! I think she’s an amazing woman. I would love to sit down and have lunch with her and talk to her…as moms, as parents of disabled kids, as working moms…as gals.

  • Wow!!!  That is so cool.  I can’t believe you missed seeing her.  (that would have been my luck)

  • We were supposed to be there with CBF, but I’m sick.  My eyes are as green as yours!

  • Are we sure this wasn’t YOU dressed up like S.P?

I thought you already had green eyes? Or are they brown?

  • Oh darn. And to think you could have taken a picture with her and then really had a pic of you two together to show how much you DO look alike. :)

  • Well dern and spit fire!

  • How neat that she was that close. She was recently about an hour away from me last week but I didn’t go to see her. I would like to though. I think she is a neat person :)

  • Amazing, but too bad you didn’t see her. I saw the sign for Way’s Fruit Farm when I was there.

  • Bah. Who wants to meet a politician.

  • Although, Spazzymommy had a good idea.

  • Woo-hoo!  How fun!  er… How sad!  er…. take a hot bath and call me in the morning.  Oh, that’s right, you already are!!  Your poor broken body!  Get lots of rest, sweetie! And put lots of bubbles in your bath… that make you feel aw’ better!

Gotta go! Been blogging too long & need to do something… more profitable!! Waaaaaaah!

  • Hi, I saw you at a book blog and stopped by.  What an amazing site you have and I feel the love of the Lord her too!  I think Sarah Palin is the kind of person you can approach and feel comfortable around.  It’s the simple people that can most represent us, just like Jesus calls us righteous before the Father.  That poor little kitty…..thanks God for no blood!  May God use you in huge ways in all the lives you seem to touch.

  • I voted here–yesterday! And this morning I discovered that we have a minority Conservative government. I also discovered that the local candidate, for whom I voted, got in with a pretty whopping majority. He is our kind of guy–beef farmer, hunter, against gun control, pro-life, knows very little about macro-economics and foreign policy, and represents our interests: a genuine grass-roots guy (alfalfa, clover,….). However, we hope that the official recorder corrects his grammar in the permanent record of Parliamentary speeches. Larry Miller–he is wee and fat and tells it like it is. And we have shaken hands with him and his wife–at the Agricultural Society Fall Fair.

  • Wow.  I wish her God speed
