Sunrise, Stormstown
I have this thing for looking out windows. When I wake up in the night (or early morning), I feel compelled to look out the window in our bathroom. This morning, everything in the backyard was bathed in an orange glow.
“There must be a killer sunrise out the front window,” thought I.
Sure enough, there was. I grabbed my camera, took a few shots, hassled poor, sleeping TGD to look out the window, and went back to bed.
Yes, I am savoring every moment of the rest of summer vacation.

In general, I don’t see many sunrises. Yes, we both went back to sleep–with me finally hauling my summer-gorged carcass out of bed at 9:30.

I do the same thing. I look out windows even in the black of night…not being able to see anything- knowing that I will not see anything- and yet, I still peer into the darkness and try to see! *GRIN*

Ah, yes, that was fun this morning. Almost as good as being awakened in the middle of the night in England over that earthquake! I think I had the same reaction in both instances…..

That is just beautiful! Did these clouds produce any rain or just blow off? What is it they say about ‘red skies in the morning? Sailers take warning?’ We usually see this kind of color in the evening.
