Melon Joy
I got a melon baller. I’d never had one before. I didn’t realize how easy it is to handle a watermelon with one. I love my new melon baller.
Diet Challenge–Saturday
Hey, it’s Saturday. I can go a little crazy.
Breakfast–Two Eggo waffles with butter stuff and Lite fake maple syrup and hot tea
Lunch–Bowl of cheese twists, bowl of watermelon
Supper–We were at a potluck, and I had a small serving of bow tie pasta with veggies, corn pudding, and sauerkraut; two half-dollar-sized slices of bratwrust; five small meatballs in tomato sauce; a square of pineapple upside down cake; and a handful of peanuts. (It sounds like a lot, but it really wasn’t. I do mean small servings.)
Snacks–Two handfuls of dried, mixed fruit, half a bowl of cheese twists (Isn’t it lovely how versatile cheese twists are? They can pass as a meal or a snack!)
Exercise–.5 hours gardening
2.5 hours dancing at a square dance–SUCH fun! I love to dance with my husband. Only the fifth time ever in my life to do it, too.

Oh yes, melon ballers are fun. Especially when you put the balls into a container and add other fruit like pineapple pieces, wine and sparkling wine to that. Yummy, a great party drink!
You exercise so much, that’s great!
Now I’m going to look up what cheese twists are…
P.S.: The public plan definitely helped me to avoid fulfilling my night cravings. Thanks for helping me with your idea!
Did it influence you?
Glad you had fun dancing! So…do cheese twists count as dairy group?
I got tired of writting but I know how to do it cause I’m a lifetimer in WW.
I had a dream about you last night! So it made me think about you, and I’d thought I’d say hi.
Melon Ballers are SO MUCH FUN. I took me TWO years to figure out what the heck it was though….(my husband had a kitchen before we were married-and it ended up in our kitchen drawer)……one day my grandma was at our house and she said- “Oh honey, I’m so pleased to see you have everything! Even a melon baller!” I thought, A WHAT??? *LOL*
She proceeded to get it out and demonstrate how to use it on a watermelon and honeydew. I never said a WORD…but that day I learned how to use a melon baller!
Honestly, I always thought it was something for cheeses. (LOL)
what is a melon baller?
long time no see.
I never knew that those little devices had their own names! So cool!
I have a recipe for cucumber sandwiches if you like at

I love my melon baller too…so much fun!!
As for the diet/exercise…I think that I’ve already forgotten all of yesterday, but I’m pretty sure that I did well. I know that it included at least an hour walk with Baby J.
Today, Baby J and I went out for a walk in the stroller while the boys were still sleeping. Breakfast was 2 whole grain pancakes made into a sandwich with Tait Farm strawberry rhubarb preserves (Yumm!) and a handful of cherries. Lunch was leftover cous-cous with corn and zucchini, and a big bowl of cherries. Snacks…an oreo or two, some more watermelon, and a lick of peanut butter (while making Mr. J’s lunch). Dinner at the in laws…an ear of corn, two small hamburgers, and a cup or so of cantoloupe. And then, while sitting around in front of the candy bowl, chatting, two peppermint patties. I’m thinking of rooting through the kitchen as soon as I go downstairs…I’m needing another snack, but I haven’t decided what it should be! Probably nothing, really…we’ll see.
Ugh…snacks, a handful of pistachios and some chopped dates. Didn’t really seem to satisfy whatever it was that I was craving, but I think that I’ve had enough to eat by now. Oh well.
LOVE the melon baller! An absolute must.
we have two sizes of melon ballers…but i just use them to make cookies :]]
“I love my new melon baller.” !!!! That’s great! I love it. You’re too funny. (btw, I love my melon baller, too!!!)
RYC: Actually, every name listed was a link to a photo of the actor/actress in question, so you would have needed to do no searching.
