I saw an old Dr. Who episode where the rocks were really bloodthirsty aliens who came alive and killed people. My guess is you didn’t want to take that chance (or pay through the nose to do so!)
I couldn’t agree more with your final comment in this entry – there really isn’t much to say about Stonehenge!!!
Love!
I have never been to Stonehenge, I would love to see these rocks someday.
Are you home yet?
I never knew Stonehenge was off a major highway! I always thought it was out in the boonies ( or whatever they call it in England…the hinterlands?) and pretty remote. Kind of funny.
My parents had the same opinion. *LOL*
’nuff said.
I didn’t know you had to pay to get up close to it.
Um, I hope your family was not part of the recent vandilism? Have a safe trip home!
It looks so cool, though. And real! I wonder how they hoisted those huge things up there?
I think one of my girls who spent a semester at the University of Edinborough either had an opportunity to or did go see the Stonehenge. I remember her saying it is the haunt of some odd people types particularly at the Solstice.
