Another Walk
I discovered a really nice walk near my house. First, we go through the gate…
Past the cows…
And down this lane.
After about fifteen minutes of walking, we come to this sign…
Which is a lengthy name for a small church…
With a picturesque cemetery.
Some of the graves are as new as 2007…
And some are much older. Both of Charles Darwin’s sons are buried here.
Their dad is buried in Westminster Abbey. Go figure.
Are you a lover of walks?PS–OneTrueTweedle, the fellow who made that nice 100,000 credits thingie for me earlier, would like to get 10 comments. Surely you could spare a moment to give him a comment and chat about Chinese food? Ten comments seems such a reasonable, modest goal.PSS–The flower in the field is rapeseed, which is used to make Canola oil. The other flower is a mystery. I wish someone could solve it for me. Scooby Dooby Doo, where are you?

A very lovely walk indeed. God bless you Mary.
Mamaglop’s daughter Prima stopping by. I love looking at your pictures of springtime England! I believe the yellow puff-bally flowers in your last post may be Kerria japonica, cultivar “Pleniflora” Otherwise known as “Japanese Kerria” They are great screening plants, with winter interest in the canes as well. I hunted one down to plant in my own garden just this last weekend. It isn’t blooming yet though, so Cambridge must be ahead of this corner of the Pacific Northwest.

Thank you! I looked it up, and it’s also called the Japanese Yellow Rose or the Easter Rose, which might be easier for me to remember.
What a lovely, lovely place to walk!!!
I would SO LOVE to have a place like that to walk to!!!
WOW.
That is a wonderful walk. We do love to walk when it is nice enough to be outdoors…
Thanks for coming by my site. Stop by anytime.
I can never get over the beauty of your pictures! No wonder you’ve been asked to be “prom” photographer!
I visited Tweedle and saw where he said you have 3 accounts? Is that right? I have a hard time keeping up with the one I have.
Curves is pretty good. The workout is as hard as you make it. I have seen some ladies come in and do the circuit in their street clothes and leave looking almost as good as when they came in. I wear sweats and Tshirt because I sweat! I think I get a good workout and it only takes a little over 30 minutes. I like to go 3 times a week.
We have a regular walk too, but nothing quite as scenic! I’ll take pictures of ours for you sometime.
nice walk
Love walks!
I love walking! When are you coming to Canada so I can show you my favorite walk?
I am a lover of walks. Your photos are amazing. I would love to live in a house like yours, especailly if it was right downtown!
A gorgeous walk! I love old cemeteries, they are so fascinating!
Your walk looks like something out of my dreams — just perfect. We walk around our neighborhood, which is nice, but not quite as lovely.
Rapeseed! Yes, of course. I googled “canola flowers” and it came up that way, but I knew it was called something else… something I couldn’t think of then.
I love cemeteries….Bikeman thinks it’s weird, but I find them very peaceful and picturesque. And yes, I recognized the rapseed, though I too couldn’t think what it was called. When my kids went to England they too returned with pictures of similar fields.
If that was my path I would be a fan of walking. It looks just like all the Jane Austen movies…lucky! In addition your pictures inspired some names for Rob and I to think about….Horace and Eramus may be some contenders.

I’m partial to Horry.

Found your site quite by accident. We are a home school family of 7 from Oz now residing in the UK. Just thought I would say hi.

Ohh, I like those pictures.. Beautiful church to explore around.. I use to be able to take long walks outside but lately with everything going on. It seems to be getting to be rare for me to do it. It is terrible to walk out at nite due to misquitoes.. YIKES!!
Yeah definitely a lover of walks… Especially when it’s beautiful landscapes like that. I love your pics, you’re such a good photographer !!! Have a nice day Mary…
)
I just needed a reason to send you a Mini since I had built up a whopping 15 credits! So here you go….
Hope you have a great day.
Aw shucks. A whole link just for me. Unfortunately I only managed to get eight (at least so far), but the same contest will run in all of my entries until I garner a massive Xanga following like yours. Because that also is a modest goal.
Also, I am now a True member. I feel…the same. Oh well.
RYC: Thank you for the birthday wishes!
I love your walks—-I feel as if I’m right there with you, soaking in the scene.
And I made my Chinese food comment as well
A lovely walk! P.S. I finished Eclipse. I am firmly on Team Jacob. I have been since book number two, but waited to be sure…wanted to be sure he didn’t do anything truly awful. But…I figure she’ll end up with Edward, Jacob will imprint on someone else, so there can be a “happy ending” all around…but I still like Jacob and Bella together best. I was a Pacey and Joey fan, too.

I don’t even know who Pacey and Joey are. Do tell!
They are from Dawson’s Creek…I RARELY watch regular t.v. shows, but I LOVED Dawson’s Creek. It’s out on DVD now. Tons of teenaged angst. RYC- I am in southern Indiana, but when earthquakes happen in the midwest, they are felt in a LARGE area! The quake that hit W. Salem ( ish) Ilinois on Friday, was felt in several states…and was felt all the way up in Chicago!

Made my Chinese food comment-LOVE the Chinese food and rambled like an idiot about my favorite place.
Lover of walks? Kind of. In good weather, absolutley. Even in rain I have enjoyed a stroll or a “look at the rain” walk, but in the heat NO!
If it never got over 75 I would love to go for long walk every day. And it depends on the shoes.
That’s quite the path in that picture.
I must go there!
