Finally!
After whining around for a few months about wanting to get my hair cut, today was the day. LibbyK and I went to the salon and looked through hair style books for about a half an hour. If you’ve ever had that pleasure, you know how useless 90% of the pictures are. Yeah, like I want a bowl cut which totally covers my eyes to the nose. 9% are for people with straight hair, and .75% are for long, curly hair. So, it just came down (as it always seems) to telling the stylist what I wanted. And, it worked! I really like my new style.

In other news, Xanga has a new feature. When you post a comment, at the top of the comment area, there are stars (and you should always give me five gold stars, right?), and right next to the stars is a heart which says “recommend.” This is for blogs you think others would enjoy reading. Click on it and earn the love of the person you recommended (because s/he will get a notification saying who recommended them). Of course, you can recommend me all you want! (But you don’t have to do it with this post. Then others who come to read it because you recommended it will see that I told you about recommending and will think, “Well! What a self-aggrandizing, egotistical, supercilious Teacherperson she is!”)PS–I MADE THE FRONT PAGE! Granted, it’s a picture of Hunter, not an entry, but still. Whoo!

You are completely correct about the hairstyle books, but I still buy one before going to the salon. And may I add your hair looks awesome, so young, so fresh, really nice!
LOVE the new look! Hair cuts are scary, but it looks like you got a great stylist.
Congrats on having one of your photos on the front page too.
I like this haircut.
I love your new hairstyle!
I really like the look – it suits you to a T.

One of my photos is on the front page???? Thanks for the heads-up and the compliment.
Yippee!!!! I think this style makes you look very ‘posh’ and quite stunning as well. A good choice, and it seems to work really well with the increase of your curls!

You look FABU! If I can figure out how to woek the stars and hearts, I’ll give ya bucketloads!
The hair cut looks great! I must have “inspired” you, eh? I’d forgotten that I’d promised gold stars when you started blogging from England and you’ve been doing a great job.
I love the hair cut!! It looks wonderful..
I like your new hair cut.
God bless you.
Saucey and perky, I’d say. very nice!
Your hair looks great! I have the exact same problem with picking a new hairstyle – it’s so hard to find good, normal person styles for curly hair.
Ooooooo…very, very nice! (The new haircut, that is!) Also, congrats on the featured pic on xanga’s frontpage!!! I always knew you could do it!!! (the featured pic, that is!)

Looks GREAT!!
Maybe I’ll have to think about doing something with my hair one of these days too…it is just so easy to put it up into a ponytail and forget about it, but that certainly isn’t as nice looking as your new look!
GROOVY Hair!! You don’t look like a “Teacherperson” at all!!! (not in the prejudice sort of bun and glasses sort of way….) :) Beautiful.! Congrats on the front page thing too!
Looks great!!
No flattery, it’s true!
RYC: Thank you! And a happy and blessed Easter to you and yours!
Your hairstyle looks great!
woHOH! Very sharp! It looks great on you!
You’re lookin’ good!! Congrats on the xanga feature!!
I think you look fabulous!!!!! Happy Easter. Susan
I like it! And I totally know what you are talking about regarding hairstyle catalogues. I was in a local hair show once, the styles weren’t near as extreme. How about your new do? -Is it easy to style?
you have such a beautiful smile! and the haircut looks great, too!

It is very easy to style. Those are all my curls, so all I really have to do is put on some hair gel and fluff and scrunch occasionally.
you look very pretty :]
Your hair style looks great! Fabulous! And thank you so much for your sweet comments and prayers. I really appreciate them.
The new ‘do looks great!! Which salon did you go to in the end? I’m so glad you’re happy with it. I just got a haircut that I’m not all that fond of… and I’m tempted to get another one back at VIP when I’m back in Cambridge for graduation!

I wound up going to the one in the Grafton because it was easy to get to and they were open right when I wanted my cut. Pricey, pricey, but I’m happy with it.
Are you coming back to Cambridge soon?
Great hairstyle, it looks fabulous on you!
Great picture of you and great haircut! (I tried the stars thingee but I’m not sure it worked.)
HEY!! You got your haircut!! (“It’s about TIME she noticed!!”) I love it! It’s so 70′s… it’s so “IN”!! I’m wanting to get mine cut too and I am planning to be very 80′s & shorter than ever! This plan is still in my dreams and may never come about, but, like they say… I can dream, can’t I?
P.S. – great face to go along with your hair!
Great Look!
i really like the new style!
