Three Minute Update
I’m sleepy and have been working all evening on that writing project. I was very embarrassed when I got an email today saying the material I was to write was six days overdue! I was never given a deadline, so I shouldn’t feel embarrassed, but I do. Oh, well. I got everything written but a vocabulary section. And I read The Rime of the Ancient Mariner out loud to the kids today. Yes, a half-hour poem. I shouldn’t have prefaced the reading with, “Even though I have 23 pages of print out, it’s not as long as you’d think.” It was longer.
We had a hard frost which caused many posies to keel over. Got some nifty pictures. (may extend to a five minute update to post them)
I’m still fussing with a sore throat. Life goes on. And, Wednesday we plan to go tour a Norman castle in Norwich.

I am the same way, regarding feeling bad over missing a deadline, even if you didn’t know it existed before now. Oh well. I’m glad you were able to accomplish so much with it though, so soon.
I love the pictures. The spiderweb is beautiful, and trust me, I am no fan of the spider, lol.
Have fun on your trip to the castle. I am sure we will see some beautiful pictures from it.
Pretty cool pics! What am I fussing over? How about: trying to get my house cleaned, school accomplished, stuff done for church & the co-op? Is that enough to fuss at or what??? I need a day of nothingness…..

Beautiful pictures! Last year we had a late freeze. It was after my azalea had bloomed. Poor plant died.

I’m fussing over cleaning for my germ-a-phobic friend who’s joining me for lunch today at 11 am. I feel my house is never clean enough for her; oh well! Feel better soon!
I am also fussing over a sore throat yesterday and today (and hopefully not tomorrow). Also, working out last-minute details for our homeschool group’s visit to the nursing home tomorrow. Blog update is coming as soon as Corny adds some pictures for me.
Hope that your sore throat is better! I’m fussing over my poor baby who has starting seeming sick again…and the ongoing house hunt. I’m hoping that both issues are resolved sooner rather than later!
Hoping you all feel better soon. The headache is much better after some medication and a nap, but it is threatening to return–hopefully it won’t.
I nearly skyped you the other day, but I figured you were probably talking to someone already.
That frosted spider web is so neat! I’m trying to come up with a poetic way to describe it, like a little fairy web or something, but nothing clever is coming to mind. It reminds me of a giant snowflake, actually.
I’ve had similar things with late assignments when I wasn’t given a specific deadline, just “in the beginning of August” or something like that. When is the beginning of August officially over?

What am I fussing on today???? What am I NOT fussing about today….it would take much less time to explain. I think I’m so sleep deprived from these kids with the flu that I’m just a walking nightmare. My son told me to go take a nap. That should tell ya something!! (sigh)

I am impressed that your kids sat still for the Rime. It’s a bit ponderous.
Fussing about school. I took 15 credits which shouldn’t be too much, but it seems to require so much time. Then there is still snow. I’m not really fussing about the snow, it’s melted to the texture of snowcones and is only about ten inches deep now. It’s just that they piled it up in my parking place, and I have been carving on it so I have room to open my door and step out of my car. God has been good, however. We are doing well. I shouldn’t fuss about anything… I thought about you today as I was walking back from Latin dance. I wish you and TGD were there. It was a lot of fun; we are learning cross-body leads in rumba, cha cha, and salsa.
Silly me! God is always good! And the quarter ends in four weeks!
I hope that doesn’t hit us. We just planted our hops.
