A Good Laugh
A friend sent me this video link. Laugh away, fellow homeschoolers and homeschooled!
http://www.doublesharpevideo.com/HomeSchool2/Homeschool2.html
I wrote my Christmas letter today while LibbyK was having her second orchestra concert, this one at an “assisted living” home. I’d be glad to send it electronically to whomever would like to read it. (At 41 cents a stamp, I’m looking to save where I can!) Or, message me and I’ll give you the “Secret Xanga Link” where you can read it online! The online version will be better, as I can put in pictures. The printed version is just text. I hoped to get a picture of all the kiddos tonight to put with the Christmas letters, but Gockle and LittleMiss were out sledding, and their cheeks are still tomato-red. Christmasy, yes. Attractive? Not so much.
We are on our way to GhostFroggy and TheOtherMary’s choir concert. It will be my third Christmas concert of the day–homeschool orchestra and piano came first.
Have you been dashing off to Christmas festivities?

Just wanted to be the first one to get a comment on this entry! Thanks so much for writing the family letter – I really appreciate it!
Sorry for giving you only four stars!! Call me a Xanga idiot!
Oops, actually I gave you five stars!!!
Oh my, that many kids!! *fainting* Ooh me, I wouldn’t mind reading your letter if you don’t mind..
Well sure I’d like to read your Christmas letter!
I have tried several times today to get tickets to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra Concert and the only tickets that keep popping up are in terrible seats. Very high and almost behind the stage. I would love to go but I don’t want to pay to not see the performance! Maybe I’ll just get the CD. Dern.
That video is hysterical! Did you notice the crazed look in the parents’ eyes? hahahahahahahaaaa
I will be VERY glad to be a homeschooler again next year!!! But hopefully I won’t be quite so……odd haha that was quite funny tho!
That is an AWESOME video… my mom already asked me for the link…
And I would be delighted to read your Christmas letter.
No Christmas festivities today, but I did have a dentist appointment.
Yes! We’d love to read that letter
Funny video…
Count me in for reading online. You wouldn’t want to mail to Canada.
Boo is getting better. Thanks for asking. Spots are starting to fade, although a few places still itch.
Wondered if you’d notice the updated picture. Still slow going though.
Oh and by the way, I measured 15 inches of snow today–think that most of it is new stuff.
We’ve been iced in for a while, but we did mange to get to the ballet!!!
A nice entry
I have not been dashing of to any festivities yet.
I would love to read your letter online!
Hilarious!
Very little dashing this year! Ds#2′s concert was early, and tonight he has a Scout party, but I just have to drop him off and pick him up! Church on Friday night hopefully, and that’s it! Love the video, though I am having some trouble getting it to play on my computer. I’ll try on the downstairs computer later.
We’re dashing off to do some house hunting with the realtor, but I don’t think that counts as Christmas festivities!
41 cent stamps, eeh? Thanks for reminding me of yet another good reason to skip the Christmas cards (again) this year and not feel guilty about it!
That video is hysterical…
Well done for getting featured again
We went to our church’s Christmas Favorites choir presentation followed by desserts last night. Dd13 sang in the choir and participated in a skit, along with dd18. It was very nice. The girls will be going to two youth group parties in the next week, too.
RYC: You recognized Rodney and Rhonda! Come back to my blog to see a pic of the Rodney and Rhonda ornament my online Secret Sister sent me! She didn’t even know I had the stuffed ones from years ago. (The new pic is right above the stuffed Rodney and Rhonda.)
I love it!!! I never did get an accurate count of the kids, LOL!
I am still letter-less, as in I keep intending to write one, but keep putting it off. I am bad. Maybe reading yours will inspire me. And I’m with you on the picture thing. Getting them all in one place and presentable at the same time is impossible!
The video is a blast; the book you’re reading is great!
I would like to read your Christmas letter as well. Nolan was in the church Christmas play Sunday night and a preschool program Monday morning.
I’d like to read the one with pictures!
I would love to read your letter, email me a copy (rjdohner@yahoo.com). Then I’ll forward you a copy of our newest family picture for the church, you know the one you’ve been asking for you months now!!!
lol…the video is so much fun! we all enjoyed it! thanks for bringing laughter to our day!
Haha, what a great video!
Nope, I haven’t exactly been dashing off to Christmas festivities – the weekend of the 7th, we did have two concerts (my dance concert, our church concert), and then I went to a Christmas show that Tuesday…so I guess that’s a lot!
Right now, we’re busy just taking care of Mom and Julia, who are getting better now, but caught that nasty bug that’s been going around…
Well thank you! That’s very nice!
Let’s see it.
Lmao thats a very funny video wow are those all that family’s children
Hope you don’t mind me stopping by…
That video was cute!
I’d like to see your pretty Christmas letter!
Hey! When are you off to the Brits? I wonder what Christmas is like over there….
Now, I need to watch this video.
This is an epic post. This has 12 stars now! Wow!
hi,
yes! We all love Alex Ryder. Haven’t tried the others.
Elizabeth
RYC: The Eco book is a look hard to get into, but once it gets going it’s very good. I saw the movie and loved it.
God bless you.
The homeschool mom should be wearing a denim jumper though! Too funny. Doesn’t the dad in that look a little like a certain homeschool dad at FBC although I know it isn’t?
It wasn’t out when you ordered it, but it is now, and I shipped it a good bit ago so it should reach you any day. Shipping IS slow this time of year, which is what I’d put the delay down to
.
Of course I want to read your Christmas letter! I want to see the one with pictures, so please tell me where it is. None of the kids are in choirs this year, so no Christmas concerts. It feels weird not to be attending at least one.
Nice Video…Thanks for sharing.
The only running around we are doing is practicing for the Christmas cantata at church…I try and keep other activities to a minimum this time of year. It’s too stressful for me otherwise.
Colleen
You were featured AGAIN?? WOW! Good for you!
I’d like to read your letter…but am curious why it’s on a “secret xanga” page?? I’m a little out of the loop.
We’ve had so many Christmas gettogethers….and it’s so sad to think that it will all be over next week.
I love having a reason to shop, visit, bake and go!! (lol)
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Congrats on the feature!
Please include me on the secret link list!! I’m sorry, I did not do a letter this year, so I cannot reciprocate. We are very lowkey compared to most people, and I simply don’t have enough “stuff” to fill one of those 8 1/2 by 11 pages that seem so ginormous when it’s time to try to compose a letter. How do you spell ‘ginormous’ anyway? Should I have a hyphen? Gi-normous? Maybe I need to watch “Elf” again.
