Merry Monday!
Did any of you get pelted with snow? We didn’t. Sure, we had a dusting and winds so strong last night that I expected to look out the window and see a witch on a bicycle pedal past (and your little dog, too!).
I’m pretty pleased with how my Christmas layout looks, especially because I was able to figure out how to put a border around my text boxes. Since my html and css knowledge is limited to bold, italic, and, “Hey, Josh, how do you do this?” I was pleased.
I am at the library, our usual Monday afternoon activity, waiting for LibbyK to finish her homeschool orchestra time. For the past month, I’ve used this time for NaNo novel writing. But, today, what am I doing? I’m watching the TV show Chuck online. What is Chuck and why would I go out of my way to watch a TV show? It’s spy thriller meets ordinary guy–funny and suspenseful both. So, now I can say that I do watch one TV show other than the occasional episode of What Not to Wear (and Ninja Warrior).
What TV show is a “no miss” for you? Which one used to be (if you don’t have a current love)?

Well I for one definitely did not get snow – but there was ice on the grass this morning!!!! Made for a great run.
Thanks for your comments. As for Relient K, I’ve not listened to a lot of their other albums, I hijacked Mhmmm from my brother, but I’ve heard pieces of their Christmas one and really enjoyed that.
And a Merry Monday to you! I used to LOVE Northern Exposure, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and shhhhh, Dawson’s Creek. Now I will watch Ghost Hunters if I happen to catch it. Same with Sponge Bob. One can never see enough Sponge Bob…well, I suppose I have gotten Sponge-Bobbed-Out on occassion, but that was my fault. Moderation is the key.
No snow in Ohio, either, but the wind wreaked havoc on the Christmas lights I put up over the weekend. It’s back to the roof I go . . .
Au contraire . . . I am *not* cruel. My dear daughter is yeast free, as was pronounced this morning by the herbalist. However, she refrained from the “monkey bread”, as she thought the mass quantity of sugar may kill her. She is enjoying a bunch of grapes, had chili for supper, and is eating a Pillsbury cinnamon roll here or there, as it has a much smaller amount of sugar.
I missed SFP. I had a wonderful time last year…
M*A*S*H reruns!!
We got snow! Lots of it! And we’re still getting it!
We never had a TV growing up and we don’t have one now, so I have no favorites. I do remember going over to a friend’s to see the Little House Series.
No snow here either. Lots of wind though.
No TV watching either.
They were meerkats, not lemurs. Similar, but not the same…No, no analysis….that wasn’t for my class – just for me. And, I can’t figure much of it out!!
I like Chuck! Quartus comes over in time for Chuck but doesn’t watch it because his new wife Peach Blossom records it to watch later. I watch the first half hour while he just hangs out, and we watch Big Bang Theory together while Peach Blossom has a girl’s night with Alias and some friends. Tonight I missed even the first half hour of Chuck because we were making a stocking for Peach Blossom.
No snow here, but lots of rain. It is a nice change but I hear there is flooding in other parts.
Thanks for letting me know I made front page..sort of
God bless you Mary!!
I like your new Holiday Look! Very festive!
My no miss show was Dancing With The Stars. If I was going to miss one, I would get my husband to record it! It is almost a relief that it is over!
No snow here; just cold and windy.
Your blog is ready for the season! Well done!
My no miss show would be Survivor. I know, pathetic but I just love that hour of television.
Haha, your comment on my mom’s site was sooo funny.
And, I used to never miss an episode of The Office (before the strike), but now I don’t really watch anything, though I am anxiously awaiting Battlestar Galactica when it returns in March.
My brother thinks Chuck is funny.
American Idol is a no miss for me!
Your layout is quite nice!
I enjoy Chuck as well.
We have had about 8 inches of the white stuff since Sunday…and it is still snowing off and on. Te weather report is that we are going to continue having these snow squalls for the rest of the week. The kids are thrilled!
As far as TV shows – My hubby and I are Survivor fans and have watched every season. I also love Good Eats on the Food network. My favorite show when I was a teen was Moonlighting. I also enjoyed Murphy Brown. Also I still watch Home Improvement in re-runs. I really wish that they would come up with a great comedy that is clean enough for the whole family.
I like the background in your new theme.

WEll, we didn’t, but we’re not in Pennsylvania. The redesign of your site looks great. We did get a dusting of snow just before Thanksgiving which is very unusual here. We are lucky if we get snow at the end of December, but most of ours (the very few times) occurs in January and February. I’m looking forward to it. I love snow days although my rule has always been that we only take snow days if they go out and play in it. With only two left at home, and only one of those inclined to “go play”, I don’t know how fun it will be. I might have to come up with some other reason to have a snow day.
We did get a dusting…but now it is gone. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for some more, so Jersey Junior will be happy to play in it again!
As for tv, I must admit to being a Law and Order junkie. One day I’ll kick the habit, but not quite yet!
I, too, like your new Christmas layout. I thought about doing one on my site, but it would probably take me too long to figure out!
I never missed “Dancing with the Stars”. I like several other shows but am trying to not watch so much TV and read more!
No snow down here. If it ever does we know the weather patterns have gone totally biserk! We just get lots of rain or sun depending on the season and an occasional earthquake (like last week – epicenter off Martinique measuring 7.3) and felt all the way down in Trinidad).
We haven’t been hit by snow yet.
I used to watch “Everybody Loves Raymond.” I really don’t watch much TV. I used to catch Grey’s Anatomy also but not anymore.
And one thousand eprops to you.
I don’t really have a no miss show. Sorry.
But, anyway, Steffen is a very close friend of mine. I have known him and his family my whole life. He is also Aimee’s cousin, Rein’s sister, Tricia, well that is her son. Hope that makes sense. Anywho, he ripped his ACL tendon in his left knee and finally he had surgery. He ripped it in August, and just now he had surgery. He is doing VERY well, and so that is why I wrote the good news!
Well, last night as I came out of dance class it was snowing! A lovely, pretty, light snow that just kind of danced around in the air before it fell. Of course, ti dind’t last long, and it didn’t stick, but it was exciting anyway.
That’s about what my computer skills are limited – the AP class HTML and “Katie, help!” Which is wa I was so pleased about renovating our Bloom! blog, and so pleased at the logos (although my xanga doesn’t do them justice.
)
TV shows? Well, none of them are currently running.
Over the summer, it’s been I Love Lucy, The Dick van Dyke show, or The Cosby Show. (And some Jeeves & Woosters thrown in for good measure!)
Nice Christmas background. It shimmers. Oooooooooooooo……
We changed our church schedule on Sunday (moved evening stuff to afternoon) & cancelled a Christmas gathering that was happening an hour away Monday morning because of the weather. Ha! Should have known it wouldn’t amount to much. We had sleet & freezing rain overnight with spotty snow showers on Monday. We could have gone to the gathering on Monday after all…….
We got hit with a few inches of ice over last weekend, followed by a light dusting of snow that past couple of days. I don’t have a current “no miss” TV show, I rarely watch TV, but I can remember a time when I nearly had an anxiety attack if I missed a new episode of the Sopranos! (Seasons one and two) RYC; Yeha, Fluffykins would have been a bit much, and the names they came with are just unique enough to be kewl anyway.
Somehow I didn’t see this post until now… When you wrote it, we didn’t have snow here, but now we do. The dog had a great time romping in it today and I enjoyed watching her delight.
Your site is very festive now – I like it!
We only turn on the TV for specific things, rarely just to see what’s on so everything we watch is can’t miss. Those shows are The Office (I really miss it with the strike), Pushing Daisies, Ugly Betty (just me – hubby doesn’t watch), and Lost (when it comes back on in February).
