You Asked for It, You Got It…
Kudos if you know the next word in that jingle!
I
have uploaded the prize-winning video of the five we made this
afternoon. (We give out paper plate awards.) If you don’t have a
high-speed connection, I’m not sure that you’ll be able to watch it.
It’s about six minutes long, I think. To set you up for the
plot of this cinematic masterpiece, last year WonderBoy and
ConstructoMan were in a video together which was quite funny. This
year, they did a sequel which you have before you. Hunter is WonderBoy,
in case you thought he looked familiar. The other characters are Sugar
Daddy, SideKick, Her, and, of course, ConstructoMan.The other movies made were James Bond: The Grapes of Wrath which involved some explosive grapes, lots of guns, and Michael C. in drag (hilarious!), Charlie’s Angels
featuring our own BlueSmurfGirl and KleineKatz (who had the best line ever–”I’m a good girl! I don’t deserve this!”), Middle Earth, Middle Earth, Let Down
Your Celebrities which involved rival rock bands (FenderFanatic) caught in a tornado
and transported to Middle Earth where they had to destroy a Rubick’s
Cube by throwing it into the street, and The Amazing Chase which was a
treasure hunt with clues. That one had me in it, in a wig with a lisp.
Maybe I’ll try to get that one uploaded, too. Maybe not! But, now it is time to sit back and enjoy the show! (The bloopers at the end are worth watching the whole thing!)
Presenting–The Rise of ConstructoMan!

That’s cute and the bloopers are really funny!! Those kids got a quite imagination to make those movies..
Very cute indeed….and the bloopers were the best! Obviously a fun time was had by all. Great idea!
Very, very good! (standing ovation).
That one was really well done. That was a fun night! I’m glad I was able to make it. Thank’s for having it!
Too much fun!
Well done!! The paper plate award was certainly well-deserved. :~)
That was a good one, but the only part i didn’t get was the part where they put a bomb in his car but then they push his out of it and take it.
That was great.
Hilarious movie…and I loved the final blooper – “Dude, you’re supposed to fall off the COUCH!”
Those Penn State parts sounded an awful lot like what I live through weekly….lol
Very funny! I know our church’s youth have done that in the past, but I’m not sure if they did one this year at their overnighter or not. Our girls do that, too. But they’re all on videotape, so I can’t download them. I’m sure all of yours are funny to see.
Now that’s my kind of movie! Axshun! Susspence! And lots of phun! And….Whoa! Those were some dangerous stunts, though! KIDS!! DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!! ;-D Very creative! I loved it, thoroughly!!
How was your weekend? I finally got to make my cookies & eat them, too! I think we made them Friday night — mini-ch. ch. w/pecans! mmm!
Got to work in my garden yesterday & planted several baby & one potted plant in the ground. I haven’t worked in it since we got sick. I was going to do some more today, but, it started raining. It’s coming together, though…. just very slowly…. I really should post pictures, but, my arbor fell over & it lookes kinda trashy right now. Ah, well!
I’m done with my girlfriend’s afghan!! Yea!! I finished it last week & her wedding is in January! How in the world I’ll keep it ’til then, I have no idea. I’m crocheting a shawl for myself, now, but, it is taking longer than I’d like. I’ve decided that I’m going to make all of my female relatives an afghan this year….. lofty plans, but, I’ll start with the moms & then move to the sisters. If I only get the moms done, then the sisters will have something to ask for for next year! Ha! …. guess I’m feeling quite “crafty” lately?
Any great plans this week? How’s school going?
we want more….
p.s. When did Nathan (and all the kids) grow up, they’re like BIG!
Whoa. Hunter’s voice has changed. These movies make me want to come over to your house.
I’m going to watch this later with my gang, but I want to tell you that you win the Fun Mom Award hands down! Your house must be the one where all the kids want to hang out. So go color yourself a paper plate award and display it on the wall proudly!
Conduit Head Road would be a really nice place to live. It’s a newer residential area, kind of on the edge of town, so good for long rambling country walks.
You won’t be very close to shops, grocery stores, etc, but everything is just in town, which is probably a mile away. It would be convenient for the Isaac Newton Institute… Madingley Road is kind of a big road, so you’d have to be careful when crossing it on foot, but it’s certainly do-able.
I don’t want to rush the movie. I will save it for later today, but thanks for posting one. I am looking forward to it.
RYC: Those are the last Sandcastlers before I stopped. I wanted to get back up to speed.
Hey! That looked like my stolen bike that ConstructoMan was riding!
This brings back memories of me and a friend trying to make our own horror movies at the cemetary when we were teens, of course we had to use a Super 8 movie camera. It’s good to see kids having fun without being falling down drunk or destructive, living around the Iowa campus it’s easy to become jaded about kids.
That was soooooooo brilliant…I loved it
Well! That was fun! I really enjoyed the movie,- the kids are so cute. I may have to share one of our kids’ with you. By the way, there is a movie coming out about a video store that erases all it’s tapes accidentally and decides to replace them with homemade versions. I have no idea if it is going to be any good, but the Hunter might like to see it. I have a blue wall and a white wipe off board too. I got half a sheet from the hardware store.
