Done!
Natureg0d comes to visit tomorrow! (Er, today rather, since it’s 1:00 a.m. and all.) We are all very excited.
I have finished scrapbooking all my pictures of England. Yes, there were some that didn’t make the final cut. (Never had the nerve to make the final cut–kudos if you know what I’m referencing.) It took two albums and some number of pages. I didn’t bother to count. Phew! Now I’ll have to do all the journaling. First, though, I will clean the dining room so once again we can enjoy hastily-eaten, football and cheerleading season meals there.
What’s something you were able to scratch off your to-do list lately? I wish I could cross off finding my missing science books…EDIT–REJOICE! The missing science books are found! They weren’t loaned out but were on the bottom storage shelf, turned around backwards. To solve the mystery, I employed my almost-never-fail method of finding things.
1. Pray a whole lot
2. Say to Gockle, “If you find them, I’ll give you an hour of computer time.
Thanks to everyone who expressed concern or offered prayers!

Yay for getting the scrapbook done. I bet that it’s quite lovely.
As for something I checked off my list… I figured out what I want to do for my wedding. Does it matter that I’m not engaged, or seeing anyone? I think not.
I need to make a list on “Paper” not in my head.. I think I did quite a few over the last 2 weeks as checking off the list.. Then I would add more to the list.. Go figure!!
RYC: Thank you for your comment..
Good on you!
Since school started back last Thursday, nothing but school work has gotten done! My daughter wanted to go to the football scrimmage Friday evening. It was at home and so we went; she watched the game, I worked in my room.
Gosh, when is Thanksgiving break? hahahaha
Congrats on finishing!!
Today I need to box up all of my old books from last year and organize my new ones. It’s hard for me to believe that school is actually starting on Monday. I feel totally unprepared.
This time of year I don’t have much of a to do list. Congrats on you pages. It’s not as easy as it looks. They can really take up a good bit of time.
Just about everything I planned to do for the summer.
Well yesterday I was patting myself on the back for finally cleaning the shelves of the corner lazy suzan cupboard, and dusting the laundry room windowsill, which was becomingthe appropriate site for an archeological dig. I used to wonder why archeologists always had to dig down to find earlier civilizations, but I am beginning to understand.
Yes, Monday is the start date for K12. The first day for the high school in our district is today or tomorrow I believe. Some of my friends have been in school since the 17th. =O
Mary,
Good to hear from you. God bless you.
I’m glad you found your science books. haha Bribes work well!
Ahh, the old bribe a child routine. Yes, I am very familiar with that.
So glad you found the science books – and got the pictures in albums! That’s cool.
You’ve been tagged.
So glad you found the books – what a relief. I haven’t had any big things checked off the to-do list lately… but hopefully that will change in the next week or so as I am planning to put a patio in in our backyard before we have a bunch of people over during Labor Day weekend. Now if only this 90-100 degree weather would break so I don’t have to melt while doing it!
So glad the books are found and so proud of you for finishing the scrapbook! You rock!
Actually, I did cross off something from my to-do list lately. Investing my money in CDs. Not the musical kind.
I wish I could sit down on your couch and have you show me your scrapbooks. Hehe, I have to chuckle over your whirlwind scrapbooking habits.
Glad that you found the science books! How frustrating it is to be looking for something that you want and not be able to locate it…
And who is NaturegOd?
I’ll be sure to let him know! He’s making a case for the baby name that he likes best…insists that new baby and Jersey Junior’s name should both have the same meter…
How many APs do you teach? I’m wondering if I should look into transforming my lit class into an AP someday…I’m not all that familiar with the test, but I suspect it could be done!
Wait – how did you know I went to an amusement park on Wednesday?!
K must have told you somehow….the one we went to was a littler one, too. But still lots of fun!
(although I’ll never live down the bumper cars…my friend hit me 10 times and I was only able to hit her once – and I bumped her right out of a jam!)
Kudos for the scrapbooking – now that is a HUGE accomplishment!
Mrs. Sellers!! How have you been? Lemme see….I’ve seen Julia, Anna Eichner, and…hmm…I think the rest of the people from your class will be coming to GCC later. =)
I’m going to remember that last trick.
You finished your scrapbook already??? I don’t even have pics of my 15-year-old in an album yet! You make me so ashamed of myself…..
Ah, the power of capitalism.
