  • Links…I’ve Got Links

First Link–Remember my fridge tour video? Well, that contest is up and running now.  I don’t want a vote for me, as I’m just a sample (Sing it! I’m just a bill. Yes, I’m only a bill…er, sample)

If you would like to participate in the contest, go here:

You can enter a video of your hidden talent, your life, your cutest child, and more!

You may be saying, “Why would I want to do this?”  It’s just for the fun of sharing your video with others and for generating more traffic on your site.  New friends!  You may also be saying, “How do I do this?”  Well, you make your video, upload it to your video blog (like you’d upload a picture), and then send a message to TheTheologiansCafe telling him that you have a video for the contest.

This link is for the blog of a lady who is a missionary in Lima, Peru. To help the women there, she has organized the sale of hand-crocheted purses.  If you are looking to support a good cause or for a nice, summer purse, please check out her site!

The Missing Link–Hee hee. Just couldn’t resist.

In non-linked news, Gockle420 had a personally good baseball game tonight. The team lost, but he played well, even pitching for two innings.  We are gearing up for next Friday when many people descend upon my house in anticipation of Saturday the 26th’s Pride and Prejudice performance. Hunter is Mr. Darcy, in case you were wondering.  Do you think he looks like a teenage Darcy? (Okay, except for the outfit.)

  • My best friend and I have always had this idea of having a local reality show featuring us.  Just our lives and whatever we find to talk and laugh about.  For some reason we seem to bring out the craziness in each other.  We would probably freeze up as soon as the camera started rolling.  Who knows?

What a handsome picture of your son or should I say a picture of your handsome son?

  • I like the blurry parts of the photo the best…

  • He does indeed look like Mr. Darcy.  Wish I could see the play…

  • I’m looking forward to descending upon you – even for a short time! It just wouldn’t be summer without a trip to see the Sellers!

  • He could definitely be a Mr. Darcy. He could pass for any number of Cambridge undergraduates! And yes, I’ll be around in July… in fact, if you come after the 11th (when one of my roomates leaves for a 2-week vacation), there would even be plenty of room for both of you to stay here! So come!

  • Where is the weakest link?   hahahah  I couldn’t resist, either.

  • A teen Darcy, for sure! RYC: Just as I read your comment about having a ‘cocoa day,’ dd13 walked past the computer with a cup of cocoa! LOL! Our temps will be in the low sixties for the highs and upper thirties for the lows over the next week. It was about 38 degrees when I got up this morning. Good thing we bought more heating oil earlier this week! Have a great weekend!

  • Girl, you were quick. I had just gotten my blog up when you commented.

You have a very handsome Mr. Darcy there. Wish I could see the play.
    Have a great day!

  • Wish we could come see the play…we’ve been hearing all about it from several State College folks!

  • A bill on Capitol Hill? What rhymes with sample???

I don’t have my movie-making talent, & even if I did, I only have a VHS camcorder. (at this point in time)

Wish I could see your P&P.

  • Love that photo of Hunter. Must be that excellent camera (and cameraperson) at work again…..

  • Oooh! Schoolhouse Rock! :) Yes, I can see Hunter as Mr. Darcy; he even looks a bit like Colin Firth (from the BBC version) with his curly hair and square chin.

  • Ahhhhh!!!  NOOOOO, Nathan – DO NOT change any more before we come to your house next week!!  I won’t even be able to recognize you!!

  • The play sounds like lots of fun! I think I will go check out the links. :)

  • I enjoyed your last two entries….not that I don’t enjoy all of your entries, but I had to catch up on two- and particularly enjoyed them both. :)

:) I hope you DO win something for your effort in the fridge video. (lol)

  • Nope, I don’t even have my ears pierced. This is not due to any conviction of mine, it just never really appealed to me to get my ears pierced.

I was fiddling with my blogger site this morning and I decided I’d give you the link in case you want to know the deal with the mysterious Sam. http://brittanyofblackcrest.blogspot.com/

By the way, my friend posted a picture of her little brother playing in this yard completely cluttered with dandelions, which gave me a better sense of what you were talking about some odd posts ago. I think the dandelions are pretty! Learn to like ‘em. And soon enough they’ll be really pretty wishing ones.

  • Did I ever tell you that your video was a riot? I especially liked the sign at the end. Pity it’s only a sample…

Well, having never seen any version of P&P and only one picture once, I’ll assume he looks like Mr. Darcy. I think it would be loads of fun to see the play, btw, but as that won’t work I’ll just lend you my sister for a few minutes.

  • With that expression, most Darcy-ish Darcy I’ve seen! :D

  • He is a handsome young man. You must be proud Mary. God bless you.

    Cynthia

  • Give that boy a top hat and let’s just say…Colin Firth move over!

Ready for two moms and 14 children?  Woah.

  • Or rather – a mailfemale, as opposed to a mailmale.

  • RYC: Sadly…no, I’m on track for 40 pounds.    Guess that I will have to give up the Snickers after all.  Jersey Junior isn’t supposed to have nuts, so that has been my excuse to work my way through that part of his Easter prize.  Oh well.

  • He has a beautiful jaw.  It speaks of resoluteness and character, but not harshly.  He’ll be the picture of Darcy.  Your son could be a model.

  • I would LOVE  a special Mary Flower!  What would it be?  Your comment has got me thinking of what kind of flower I’d like to be remembered by in somebody else’s garden.

  • OH yeah, he can be Mr. Darcy!! :) RYC: The Dr is wonderful to me but the office people SUCK!! I deal with it quite many times.. But I still fail to develop a thicker skin when I deal with those kind of people..

  • RYC: I forgot to add that I have read all of his sequels except for the last 2.. I have them on my bedside as next to read.. I got too many books that I want to read and so little time.. lol :)

  • I hope you have a great weekend!

  • Thanks for stopping by! How do you know Katia?

I love Jane Austen!!! Have fun with your performance!!

  • Pride and Prejudice.  *sigh.  my favorite story.  lol

thanks for the critique of M&L.  now i feel safe renting it.  :)

  • weet woo! (er…whistling…) well, well….tell that silly kid not to make life hard during the play for his fantastic stage manager..eh?eh?

  • I understand.  I decided to come home today actually, so I will hopefully see you tomorrow at church and I can tell you about all the fun stuff in more detail :)

  • RYC: I don’t visit Aimee’s site very often, but she is a xanga buddy of my daughter’s, and my daughter is married to Infinity. Small xanga world, no?
