Happy Mother’s Day to Me!
Twenty-one long stemmed red roses. Fifteen long-stemmed pink roses. Other various beautiful flowers. Three yards of mulch spread. Four hanging baskets and numerous annuals hung and planted. A Mother/Daughter Prayer and Breakfast at the church. And, tomorrow, our traditional Mother’s Day lunch at Pizza Hut and a trip to visit my mom and grandma.
Was ever a woman more blessed?

Thank you and Happy Mother’s Day to you, also.
I love your flowers! Breathtaking!
Wow.. Those are BEAUTIFUL!!! Happy Mother’s Day!!!
Wow, what generosity! Of course, you’re worth it. Hope tomorrow is a great day!
Very nice–Happy Mother’s Day to you. Here’s a cut and paste from one of my early blog posts that explains how I became “Memmy”:
Since I’m talking about my heading, I might as well tell where the word “Memmy” came from. My youngest son at one time would not pronounce any sounds of the letter o. He replaced them with the eh sound. So he would say “neh” for no; although that eventually became “nein”–even before we started learning German. At the same time, he began to call me Mem instead of Mom. People outside the family thought he was saying “ma’am”, which really impressed them. Then my youngest daughter started calling me Memmy just for fun, and it stuck.
Happy Mother’s Day.
Hmmm, I haven’t got my mother anything yet. I must be a terrible daughter. But my brother did graduate from high school today from a home school co-op where families do everything to make graduation go smoothly. We have been crazy busy with that, out of town company, and graduation parties.
Oh! How gorgeous!!! How sweet! How thoughtful. I, too, got some roses today, but, no where near as many as YOU!! Hope you have a splendid day and feel very thankful to be the mother of such wonderful children.
I’m so sorry you’re feeling blah. Poohy!! Do you have an upper respiratory thing going on? Seems like it’s going around and is highly contagious…. at least in our area, that’s what I’ve heard.
Well, I’m exhausted!! I was up until 3am last night cleaning, doing laundry, & writing silly songs about my lack of housekeeping abilities, and, today, I worked all day until 7pm (when my guests arrived an hour & a half late – and I needed every minute!!whew!) cleaning, fixing, rearranging, & preparing in, on, or around my home!! The last 2 days have been extremely difficult “ladies days” and I’ve been on the couch watching movies, eating bon bons (truly!!! — for once, the accusation fits!! ha!), and ordering pizza for several meals — except for the dentist appointments I was obligated to keep. If I don’t gain 5 pounds, it will be a true miracle! This morning and last night I prayed fervently that the Lord would give me the strength to get this trashy house in order, and, by golly, He came through!! I had more bursts of energy today than I knew what to do with!! I took breaks here and there, but, after a few minutes, I’d find the strength to get up and do another task or two until I acutally got everything done that was really important to me to get done!! Yahooo! (Thank You, Jesus!!)
Now….. I’m going to collapse!!! (hchchch-shooooo! hchchch-shooo! – that’s my snoring.) Ni-Night!
Happy Mother’s Day to you!
Beatiful flowers! Happy Mother’s Day, you spoiled mom!
How wonderful and beautiful!!
Hope it continues today and into this week. Happy Mother’s Day!

Happy Mothers Day!!
Happy and Blessed Mother’s Day to you! Those are some beautiful flowers
TP – Happy Ma’s Day to you. I love, love, love that video tour of your fridge! My eldest said your organization system was similar to ours. We plan to try the salad dressing (and the joke) on CeanBounter. Paul Newman discontinued his oil-based Caesar dressing so we’ll try Ken’s. You should definitely do more videos. And you should definitely harass more cats!
Thanks for the Mother’s day wish! Happy Mother’s day to you too, it looks like you were well feted. Somebody else spread the mulch, right?
ryc: My mom’s neighbor went to FL and gave brought back a mushroom with a face for them because they watched her home while she was away. My parent’s are trying to give it to either my sister or me, but we’re not taking it! Talk about weird (in a cute sort of way)! It’s just not my family’s thing. I even heard hinting for it to be a gift for my oldest wedding (which won’t be for 3 years).
If I get your name again for the Secret Santa gift exchange, I’ll give it to you. lol
how preeeeeeetty!!!
Beautiful flowers! Sounds like a fun Mother’s Day.
Good Morning!! “The sun is shining! The tank is clean!!” (just a little “Finding Nemo” quote, there)………. actually, the sun is NOT shining, but, it sure was yesterday & our “tank” is definitely clean!!! Yea!! Yesterday, we all woke up late and my daughters presented me with their gifts before breakfast. I got three necklaces, two bracelets, a pair of earrings & a key chain, all homemade from neon colored beads with words like “I love Mommy!” and “Your Lovedi” <– the exclamation point was upside down and looks like an “i”, and, of course, “Your” instead of “You’re”. I also got a mug that D. painted & had fired in art class….. it’s really cute!
We went to a different church yesterday. It was part of my old church that had a 3-way split (a good thing, not due to conflict) and became a home church. It was so wonderful to see my old friends that I’ve known for 20+ years. Afterwards, we stopped at my best friend’s new home that I’ve not seen yet and, then, we were off to find food! We had sesame chicken at the mall (no lines there, either!!) & it was pretty good. Then, home for chatting with our new neighbors (the ones who are renovating the house across the street, but, haven’t moved in, yet.), trying to get some gardening done, and going back on my rule to have “No friends over, today!!”. I didn’t get done what I wanted to, but, I did make progress that I can SEE, and that is always a good thing for me!
O.k…… gotta go! My girls are awaiting my attention! Later!
haha My last comment said that it was posted by “F,” I guess it didn’t work when I clicked the full name.
So, maybe I’m a day late . . . but Happy Mother’s Day anyway!
I hope you had a great Mother’s Day!!
