  • I Love Thursdays!

I’ve actually had a long-running love for this day, perhaps stemming from the fact that The Cosby Show and Cheers used to be on Thursday nights, thus proclaiming a wonderful evening to a TV-enamored teen.  Now I love Thursday because it’s a day I get to do many things I enjoy.  I get to spend time at the library, we run errands (shopping!), and I often meet with several college-aged friends. Today I had tea and a treat at Panera with Little Miss and RW. Then, I went out to supper with Sarabelle7 at Red Lobster. Yum! But, even if we had eaten at Brother’s Pizza, it would have been a delightful time.

Thursday nights sometimes mean a video with TGD, although I didn’t pick one up for tonight. In the absence of a video, I get to spend the evening reading, which is another treat.  Plus, tomorrow is Friday, the end of another school week. Huzzah! Speaking of fun videos for Thursday, here are two worth watching.

I pilfered this link from TheTheologiansCafe.  It’s nine minutes long, but BOY, did my children and I laugh (sometimes at the replies, sometimes because we realized we were stupid Americans.): LINK

This VIDEO is sure to amuse Pride and Prejudice/Harry Potter fans.

Do you have a favorite day of the week?

  • I’ve only updated the photo once–the other day. I’ve got a long long way to go yet, and summer doesn’t seem to make much difference.

Your day sounds like loads of fun. I think I am jealous–although my day was good. I don’t know if I have a favorite day just now–maybe Sunday, because it is really a day of Rest for us–no housework or school.

  • Saturday.

  • No no, a suit is just fine. Just as long as it isn’t yellow or anything. ^_^ That would be pretty horrendous.

And sure, you can read the paper….when it’s done! Do you have issues writing conclusions too? *ugg*

  • I actually have no idea. It just came to me one day, and it kind of stuck. :P

  • I like Saturday best! :) Glad you had a fun Thursday!

  • That video clip is scary funny!!  I feel rather smart watching it, and sad that this guy found so many people who didn’t know the answers!!  :)

lol…I never say “rather”, but I also watched the movie clip, and see, it’s very influential :)

thanksfor the laughs first thing this morning.  Saturdays are my favorite days.

  • Sunday– I can nap guilt free (after church services, of course!).

    Videos were great! LOL

  • Oh my word….Pride and Prejudice Harry Potter? *dies laughing* Wow, that was amazing. Hermione and Ron! ^_^

  • RYC: The best pizza is up here where Dara works. I’m not just saying that because she works there, either. Even before she started, it was good. We have to have it at least once every time my parents come visit. lol Come on up & try some!

  • I love Thursdays too!  Were you able to figure out the calorie thing?  Its pretty staight-forward.

  • Yeah, I do like Thursdays, I have two activities that I enjoy on Thursday, and durring that time I don’t have to do any school!!!!! :D

  • I love Thursdays, too, because every Thursday a small group of writing buddies I’ve met through xanga get on AIM to chat, and we always have delightful times. It’s become a highlight of the week with us.

The Cosby show is great. I’ve enjoyed watching the re-runs on Nick @ Night.

  • Tuesday and thursday usually are my favorite day of the week cuz of the tv shows.. Plus me and the kids usually enjoy watching tv together.. We have same common taste.. :)

I always seem to visit TheTheologiansCafe site and put some of my inputs too.. It’s a good to go visit and see what majority says..

  • I’m sitting here gasping…with the strains of “I’m proud to be an American” floating around in the vacant lots of my American brain.  SHEESH!! That was so embarrassingly funny that I was laughing to keep from crying.

We’re they standing outside a barn interviewing the drunk and lame?

As far as my favorite day of the week, I’d have to say mine is Thursdays too. I love that we have no where to go (except the library) and that our new favorite show “Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader” comes on. :D

  • I am so glad my quote for the day fit in with your lessons.  It makes me feel good to know my post was useful.  Some days I don’t know what will catch my attention and that quote leapt up off the page at me this morning.  Isn’t that funny?

That first video is really embarrassing, isn’t it?

  • Those sort of videos are indeed funny, but they’re terribly deceiving given the judicious editing that goes into them.

  • I must say, I love Thursdays too.  (I also love the Cosby Show, but we don’t watch it on Thursdays.  In fact, we’ve been too insanely busy to watch anything for a while…).  But for me, this is because it is my voice lesson day.   Of course, my favorite part of the day and arguably one of my favorite parts of the whole week only lasts about 45 minutes….*sigh*

  • Thanks for posting the link to that hilarious video!!

  • I loved the Cosby show too!!  I still try to catch a rerun when I can.  My favorite day of the week is a day OFF, lol.  Have a great day!

  • You sent who the trailer?

  • I generally like Mondays.

  • My favorite days of the week are Friday and Saturday.  That may be because I don’t feel as guilty about goofing off on those days.  You may be able to tell from my writing that I goof off at least a little bit every day.  Which brings to mind the comment you left about Alec Baldwin, not about goofing off but about admitting fault.  I think it’s really hard for us Christian parents to admit we would say anything unkind to our children, unfortunately we are only human.  I know I have not been the perfect parent but there is one thing good about not being perfect and that’s God can take all our imperfections and use them for good.

  • Mary,

My favorite days are all days that end in Y, LOL.

    How are you?

God bless you and have a great weekend in our Lord.

    Cynthia

  • Thanks for the good luck wish on facebook! I think i did alright, but we’ll see. ;^)
