  • So, It’s Over

And they clapped a whole lot for me. It was sort of embarrassing.  But, I bore it well. (hee hee)  Tonight’s performance was better in all senses. The entire play shut down, even the people on stage, when Princess Anna snorted in laughter. I laughed until I had tears dripping onto my skirt!  Perhaps you had to be there, but if you were, you’d have been laughing, too.

    Here are some random shots–

The King and Queen of Veritas

    Sir Gavin, Sergeant at Arms

    The Best of Jesters

     King Pierre DuCompte Cheverdeux

  • yes i was laughing very very hard.

  • Congratulations on what looks like a very successful endeavor!! RYC: Thank you for the birthday wishes! My dd17 came home from her missions trip on my birthday, so that was quite the present indeed! Today, we will have my “official” birthday dinner of poutine when we get home from church, then I’ll most likely curl up on the couch with a new book! (Sigh!)

  • Congrats!  Glad to hear that you enjoyed it.

    RYC: Yes…we know.

  • I wish I could have seen it.  The costumes are great!  Who made them or did you rent them?

    ♫Congratulations♫

  • Wonderful, wonderful! You deserved all the claps and cheers they gave you . . . and many more.

  • huzzah for smashing direction! may your tolerance for youthful tardiness never grow thin…. ;)

  • Coangratulations– the musicals was so meaningful to so many people! We loved working with you and all the talented kids of the church. Thanks also for the flowers!!

  • AWESOME play!
so, you’re life’s stress free now right? ;^)

  • lol..i’m glad you enjoyed it..

  • the costumes look wonderful.

i usually relax on a sunday by doing homework lol.

  • I luv the shot of Mark, he’s so…photogenic! ~_^

  • HUZZAH!!!!  Looks like a great cast, and no doubt a brilliant production! BRAVO!!!!

  • So cute.  It looks like everyone had a great time!  Congratulations!!!!!

  • “Speak” was okay; I was thinking about using it as one of my novels for 7th and 8th grade next year, but the climax of the plot has to do with the main character being raped. I don’t think I’ll be using that. (I teach at a Christian school)

Oh, and for Sunday relaxing, I usually take an afternoon nap :)

  • wow.  kudos!  looks like you guys had a lot of fun bringing it all together.

  • on sundays i relax by eating good food and sleeping early. :)

  • A bunch of us were talking after the performance, and we think you should try to get the play published so other schools can use it.  It would be a great musical for middle schools!

You don’t have to bribe me to get the pictures from me (although I hope we will be able to get together before I leave)…I have been having issues with getting the pictures from my computer to a disc, so I am still working on that.  I’ll let you know!  (your pictures are great too btw)

  • Sunday, Hmmmm….I took a hand full of sharpie markers after my DH’s old car….but you knew that.    Oh, I’d love to get to do some amatuer theater again. some of my best memories….    ~M.E.

  • Congrats on a performance well done! Wish I could have seen it.

Yesterday, besides church services, I relaxed on the deck & celebrated my daughter’s b-day.

  • OH! Ooooooo!! Ahhhhhhh!! Great pictures!!! I (almost) feel as if I were there!!  ….o.k., not quite, but, it sure is fun to get a little glimpse into YOUR world! I’m so happy for you, that everyone loved it so much and that it came off “without a hitch”.  And I’m REALLY glad nobody broke a leg while they were out there!!! (tsssssss-sss-ssss! ;)  …..I really don’t like that saying!) I’m just noticing that your blouse and the Queen’s dress are identical in color!! Is this, perchance, NOT unintentional? Or possibly subliminal??? ( ;P ha! ha! ha! ha!)

So….. were about to have our Bible study, so I have to go now.  It’s so gorgeous outside that I think we’ll have school on the back porch! Yeah!!!!

    Talk to ya later!

  • GO GOOBER!!!!!!!!!!!! *screams like a girl*

  • I’m sure I would have been laughing with the rest of you. It sounds hilarious. I was in a play of Little Women once and one of the props was misplaced. The girl playing Beth was supposed to read me a letter, but she couldn’t find it so when I said “Oh Beth! Do read it to me again”, she replied “It’s upstairs and I don’t want to get it, but I’ll tell it to you because I have it memorized”. I couldn’t help it, I dissolved into laughter!! It was made doubly funny, too, when you consider that the girl playing Beth wasn’t trying to make it sound so funny. She was sincerely doing her best to try to cover up the mistake, and she was such a sweetie pie, not a wise-cracking kind of person, so it was hilarious!!

I love all the suitors’ get-ups, particularly King Pierre’s. Awesome sauce.
