  • The Minstrel Song

This is Hunter (who is actually my 15 year old son, Nathan) singing as the minstrel, Fur, in The King of Peach Fuzz.

Now, don’t you want to come and see the whole play?

  • Welcome back to Xanga!  RYC I don’t watch much TV at all, Gilmore Girls is about it.  LOL  I hope you have a great day today!!

  • That kid’s got skills!  And I’m not just talking nunchuck skills, bowhunting skills, computer hacking skills, ….

Looking forward to the play, the whole play, and (probably) nothing but the play this weekend.

  • wow! what a voice!  amazing!

  • That’s Awesome! I wish I could come!

  • He’s got a great voice!  And yes, I’d love to come and see it :)

thanks so much for asking about me personally… I’m really doing well (no complaining here…heehee)  But seriously, I’m good.  we’ve been spending a lot of time outside when it’s not raining, and that’s always a good thing for me.

gotta run for now…have a great day!  Tonja

  • Quick, silly question…because, I would love to come and see the whole play…what time is the play occurring at?

  • We’ll be there!!!!!!

  • Oh wow! Your son has a true gift from God…what an amazing voice. I would LOVE to come and see the play if I were anywhere near you.
I am so glad you are back blogging as well. I missed you :)

  • Wow, I’m impressed on many, many levels.  The singing, the costumes, the set, the fact that you actually wrote all this!  I’ll just have to wait for the play to go on the road after its run on Broadway.

  • I’d love to come & see your play, but alas! it is too far away. (See, I’m a poet & don’t know it. )

Since we now live in a parsonage, we no longer have a mortgage as of closing! And obviously if our vehicles are as old as the hills, we don’t have a car payment, either! So, we’ll be COMPLETELY debt-free until one of our vehicles dies.

  • WOW! I just watched the video. Your son has a terrific voice for a 15-year-old! Did you write the music, too?

  • Alas, I am much to far away in western Ohio to see your play, but I enjoyed this clip. Your son can really sing!

  • So is there any singing in P&P? Nate (my Nate) emailed me the link for the P&P website and I see that I’ll be there for a dress rehearsal! I’m excited about coming.

  • Umm…as that him really singing?  Wow I never new he could sing so well!

I am also really inpressed by the costumes, where those made or purchased?  Probably a silly question with all the domestic talent at FBC I’m assuming they were made, right?

  • Very good voice!!  I rarely like male vocals in amateur programs (like I’m some expert or something??? ;P), they usually lack depth or quality….. your son has both and I would encourage him to have lessons to train that gorgeous, God-given ability. I’m very serious, he has a wonderful gift that only needs a little tweaking to be really professional.  Even just one semester of voice training in college did wonders for my vocal control & quality!

Busy day today, packing for another trip!! Gotta go! I’m sure I’ll talk to you later! OH!! And I’d LOVE to come to the performance, but, with us traveling so much with B., I think we’ll just flop when we get home this weekend.  But, I was actually considering it before I found out we were going with him! Where are you again???

  • He is good!  You must be so proud.

I wish I could come see it.  I’m really a little jealous.  Wish I could be assistant director or something!  I love drama~

  • Wow!  I’d heard that you’ve got quite the young singer these days, and now I can see why people are saying that.  Break a leg this weekend!  Is that an appropriate thing to say to the director/writer?  Have fun!!  Sorry that we can’t come.

  • ryc:  I am fine.  Thank you for caring.  I am completely saddened by the shooting among other things that have happened in the past week.  My friends 38 yr. old husband died Monday as well.

  • Wow! What a fabulous voice. He has great depth and quality for a man so young! Wish I could see the play. The costumes are fabulous.

  • I’d come and see anything that you directed, but unfortunately I’m dancing this weekend. Have a wonderful time, though – I’ll be thinking of/praying for you and yours!

  • omg!!!!!!! i can’t wait to see it!!!!!!!!

  • Mary,

Good to see you online!! God bless you girl.

    Cynthia

  • Bravo!  Bravo!  That was really REALLY good!  What are you doing to encourage that natural talent?

  • My my my, I didn’t know Nate had such a great voice! That’s awesome! :)

  • what a pretty picture! so very nice…. Oh, and you check my pulse by click “pulse” next to audio and video at the top of the screen…Woot for nate!

  • oops, looks like you beat me to it! i knew you’d find it on your own!

  • Whoa!  What a very nice voice he has!  Is that a school play or church play?  I have never heard of The King of Peach Fuzz

I am glad you enjoy my posts.  I like putting them together in the mornings.

  • Mary, is your new profile picture for the back of your book?  It looks nice!

  • I do!  I do!

    Cute new pix!

  • Nathan is amazing… and I’m going to see yall soon! This kid is totally coming to the play, but he might only be able to stay for the Friday showing.. depends on how much homework he gets done this week.

    Daniel

  • wow! i wish i could come!

  • RYC: That is odd that the blogs become mixed. I’m glad that you stopped by and posted. It’s always great to see you. I am trying to take it easy on my ankle and so far, so good. I am trying to just be still…..wish me luck!

  • By the way, the costumes are great!

  • i wish i could be there… :)

  • Great voice!  I hear a college scholarship there.  Also great stage presence.  Mr. M.

  • I am very impressed with your production.  Your son is better than anything  I’ve seen on American Idol this year. What a mature, rich voice.

  • 15??? He has an amazing voice!!

  • wow!  I’d love to come but the thousand dollar price for airtickets to the US is too much for my budget ;)   I’ll be eager to hear how it all turned out!
