  • Birthday Time

Does anyone else have a special fondness when the clock shows his/her birthdate?  I am very happy when the clock reads 11:23.  I suppose englishwestern is happy at 1:22 since today is his happy day!

I still haven’t heard anything from the book proposal. Perhaps I should email asking for confirmation of receipt?  That doesn’t seem too pushy.  But, first on my plate, I must finish writing another song for the musical. Actually sitting down and writing would be a good way to accomplish this task, I bet! Or, at least I should think about it while ironing today.

What task are you putting off?

  • What task am I putting off…oh my where do I start…my dishes and laundry are a good place

About the book proposal…who did you send it to? Was it a cold send or had you been asked to send it? Did you know I am a published author? I self-published in 2001, sold over 13, 000 copies…that’s all God! and then Crossway Books and Bibles picked up my book last spring and it will be released on April 7, 2007!

10:09…hum..by 10:09 pm I am sleeping and 10:09 I am chasing kids around

  • Hmmm…I’d been putting off cleaning the house…but I’d rather have been doing than than trying to keep sick little Jersey Junior happy today!  The cleaning would have probably been much more restful.

My friend just had her proposal accepted within the past 6 months or so…Moody had had it for so long that she’d forgotten that she’d even submitted it!  She was shocked to get the notice that they wanted her to actually produce the book.  I think that sometimes these things just take time?

  • My birthdate is 4:27; I never even think about it–but now I will.

How exciting to have a book proposal sent out.  My son (David, aka Arohk) is busy writing his second novel.  He is hoping to get published one day.

I’m putting off going through the children’s school work.

  • Taking the dog on a walk–it’s cold out!

  • Grading papers. The never ending pile!

I never thought of my birthday on the clock. Times we do take notice of:
    7:11 (Slurpee time!)
    2:30 (Chinese dentist time. “tooth-hurty”)

  • My birthday would be 4:21. I don’t think I’ve ever noticed it. The only times I usually take careful note of are those between 6:15 and 8:00 AM. The former is when I awake, and the latter is the time by which I am required to have completed my chores and started school.

My mom tells me I had to memorize the poem If. I don’t remember much of it, but upon reviewing it, I like it. It sums up a good deal of my philosphy.

  • What task are you putting off?

    I only get one?

Have you checked out iuniverse.com?  It’s a great site for budding authors.

  • Ask not “what responsibility are you evading?”, but “what have you not left undone?”

Regarding your comments, I’m not in fact, doubting my faith. Its in the nature of neurochemistry for mood/perception to shift like the tide, without effectively undermining a creed. I’m sure you know what I mean. The post was mostly written as a detached analysis of my belief. I’m wary of sweeping statements and overconfidence, too conscious of the difference between knowing and believing to say “I KNOW this to be true” about something as complex as God. However, I find the theory to be the most likely one.

  • Writing a song!  Wow!  That is great!  I adapted a song for our LadieĀ“s Conference for this Saturday. It will be our Theme Song!  “Mujeres por Cristo”   “Women for Christ”.  I changed some of the words and changed a few measures from 4/4 to 2/2 and back to accomodate the extra syllables. I will pray for inspiration for your to finish the project!  Good day!

  • What task am I putting off?  Unfortunately, I think that I have many, but I will list only a few for you.

Laundry…for me, this is a never ending battle.  I have starting having my children pitch in though, helping with their own laundry, the sorting of it, the putting away, etc.  I have to say that this system is working extremely well.  Much better than I had anticipated it would.  They also seem to enjoy knowing what is clean, what is dirty, etc.  It’s also given them an appreciation of what laundry actually is.

Cleaning my desk. It really can’t get much worse!  I am wasting so much time, searching for things.  So hopefully I will tackle this today.  I have a patient to see today so I’m working outside the home for a bit before working at home, reviewing some student reports.

Getting on that treadmill.  It doesn’t count that I LOOK at the treadmill every day, does it, lol?

  • math…too bad you’re not my neighbor, I’d hire you to teach my girls.  I think I’m just intimidated b/c I’m so far behind (acc. to my standards, of course) :)

  • Cleaning off my desk & paying bills. YUCK! Plus, I’m loathe to let go of my money!

Today is my hubby’s b-day, but I don’t know what time.

  • I am putting off pretty much everything.  I put a picture of the Awakening on my site for you.  It is a man coming out of the ground…it is at the end of the road, so you just come upon this huge giant…I love it.

  • Yup, those were my siblings— Katie (14), Daniel (16), and David (13). There was a picture of Ethan a couple posts ago, so now you know what all my siblings look like.

I’m finished with a particular assignment that’s been keeping me busy lately, so I shall be sending you your e-mail soon.

    Love ya!

  • i have a several page speech on Hernando Cortes to complete….i dont really look forward to writing it.

  • I really needed to clean the house, but baked chocolate chip cookies and read instead.

  • I had a very good time! I was pleasantly surprised to find that everyone fit their part quite well. I like Jane’s role, although she has alot of lines to the effect of “Mama!”, “Mama, please…”, and the like. Oh well, it’s fun to act offended by the shocking things Bethany says.;p

  • My research paper, definitely.

I don’t take my birthday as seriously as I used to but my sweet sis has been counting down the days till her 16th since last year. She started at 365 and it is now tomorrow. Oh boy.

  • ryc:  that’s even funnier!!  I’ll have to get a hair net just to prove that I really AM the best lunch lady :)

I don’t know why she said that…we were eating breakfast!!
