Will You be 15,000?
If you are the 15,000th visitor to my site, post here and let me know! (Just scroll down to the bottom of the page to see.) You deserve honors and kudos and all sorts of nifty prizes. Of course, you probably won’t get them, but you will be duly recognized! On another note, Sesame Street debuted on this date in 1969, which proves that Big Bird is older than I am, if only by two weeks.

Well, I was 14, 997 . . . I checked later and I was 14,998 . . .and I came back an hour later to find that I was 15,002. I suspect google was 15,000. Go figure.
Still praying!

So, the million dollar winner, #15,000, is at large and probably had no clue they were #15,000!! Isn’t that the way it always goes??? My question is, then, ……… will the money go to public school system???
If you guys have time, we’d love to have you over while you’re here. By the way, I’ve consulted with my parents, so you don’t need to worry about that…=) Where is David playing on SI?
Hmmm….I should have logged on this morn. I’m late for kodus and prizes. Darvet!! Oh sorry! Is it ok to use potty talk if it is elvish and nobody else thinks it’s naughty? My children and I were debating this in the car today.
RYC- There are no state requirements that I am aware of. I have many friends who are completely independent, some going through groups that they have with other homeschool parents, some registered as homeschoolers with private schools and some through the homeschool charter schools or virtual academy things. We, totally by choice, registered with our school district and are agreeing to turn in a few samples once a month just to keep our registration. We have been thrilled with the program which has saved us tons of money and paperwork. So far it has been all good with no draw backs. Most of my friends around here do not do this and it is not at all required. This is our third year.
Thanks for the visit and comment today! It was nice to hear from you.
Blessings,
Elizabeth
*sniff* I love Sesame Street! I remember plonking myself in front of the TV every morning and watching monsters sing parodies of famous songs….even though I didn’t know that’s what they were. I remember the first time I heard the song “Great Balls of Fire” on the radio. I was like, “No….it’s ‘holy moly, great balls of FUR!’”
I was 15,001 yesterday, but I didn’t comment then.

(in case you were wondering how I found you, my mom (Memof6) sort of knows MathMom
)
Hey Mary,
I was 15,068! Oh well, at least you got a response from me LOL.
Hope you get to go to FL with David’s team. Football is over for Tim this year. He even got in to play a few times during the season-a lot to ask since they had such a super group of players and there are about 100 on the team. They ended the season undefeated. 8&0!! Way to go!!! There was a celebration pot luck at the high school cafeteria and every player got a t-shirt, stat-book, certificate and high school letter for their future HS jacket. Way cool. This mom was impressed. They also recognized the most valuable players with plaques and the coach got a present from the team and gave gifts to the staff. He bragged on the teamwork of the guys and that this was the best group of kids he had ever coached etc etc.
And now I have bragged enough.
Hope you have a great week end!

In answer to your question, “Arohk” comes from title of my first novel, which I suppose you could call a combination of historical fiction and fantasy. The word itself roughly translates as “wolf-leader” or “wolf-captain”.
I’m also thinking of an Old English name for my sword, I just haven’t found one I like yet.
RYC: I don’t do that recall thing, I just saw the article and thought it was a good idea.
You should come to our performance of The Glass Slipper. It is November 17th at 7PM in the LEFC auditorium. I love Cinderella too.
