I Won! I Won!
Yes, I am tied for first with natureg0d in kleinkatze‘s first poetry contest. Here is my prize, an e-lollipop. Aren’t you pea green with envy?
But, the poem that won it is just about at the same level of awe, so it all works out fine.
Another reason for exclamation points is that I’m finally done with painting the bedroom! It turned out to be much more arduous than I expected. I got through almost five hours of Teacher Man on CD and a two hour conversation with a friend (Cindy, for those who know!), and that was just for the painting and removing tape. The kids were very kind in helping me to move furniture, and Rachel even came in and painted!
Before I realized I won the poetry contest, I was going to have a wonderful chat about home-grown tomatoes and their incredible tastiness and even try to find an audio link for the Home-Grown Tomatoes song. But, instead, I’ll leave it as a challenge. Can you find an audio link for the song?

try this ~ I copied it straight from the site
If that does not work, the web site is called ‘live digital’ and the video is “A New Generation of Kids”
Blessings……..
Hi Mrs. Sellers! Here’s the link to the page where i uploaded my video: http://video.xanga.com/uploadvideo.aspx
it took a while to upload….after it was done uploading, i was given the option whether to post the video onto my site or to copy and paste a link of the video to my page. That’s all I remember doing.
oh! one other thing. i had to save my video in a internet compatible format. I saved it in windows media… and there’s another word following, but i can’t recall what that is right now.
Well, I hope this helps. If you have any more questions just let me know, and I’ll try to figure it out.
Yea!! Congrats.
So far, I like the Harmony series well enough, I think. Not quite as much as Jan Karon’s “Mitford,” but I’ve run out of those. A librarian in a town not too far away from here suggested the Phillip Gulley stuff to me.
I wish I could give you 10 eProps, TeacherPerson! Your new profile pic is sooo cute! (Okay, so maybe it’s not so new, but I read new posts on digest. Y’can’t blame me, aye?
)
Congrats! I’ll have to go check it out. Here’s an amazing painting story…my friend Amber and her fam were moving last weekend, and in a night (done by 10) they painted 3 bedrooms, the kitchen, living room, and a few others. I don’t know how much help they had (I’d assume it was a lot), but I was impressed about how much they got done.
wow! i’m impressed with all this painting you are accomplishing. my living room stilllllll needs painting….
good job on your poem! was this a xanga competition?
(and i’m really really impressed with your e-lollipop prize! lol)
Tell your younguns that I was very very f’real
Congrats on the awesome lollypop; we’ll have to host contests of our own soon!
Love love,
Daniel
