Stephen’s Pictures
I was able to access avaricewrex’s pics, and I thought I’d post the best here. It was a relaxing, lazy day (after I planted the rest of the hosta and drove to the pool place for a water analysis). I started reading Frank Peretti and Ted Dekker’s book, House. LAME! It’s laughably bad. They switch verb tense accidentally and give characters lines which are totally out of character. Bad writing–that’s the real horror of the book.
Mmmm…strawberries!
Late-Night LadiesI’m starting to believe englishwestern…gangster indeed!
Come and Lay Your Head on my Bosom

The thing about me is that I get caught up in the moment and forget to take pictures…
“Come lie your head on my bosom”?!
Anyway, I totally agree with your comment on the book. I’ve never read House, but I just finished Obsessed by Ted Dekker, and while I liked a few of his other books, it was really badly written, like you said, verb tenses, uncharacteristic comments, bad plot movement…
Anyway, I’ll see if I can post some pictures…
Yes, I used bad grammar. Fixed it. But, that’s what S. said which had us all hysterical. (Except he used proper grammar–I just couldn’t remember if it was “Lay your head…” or “Come and lie…”
Hey, is your hair lighter now? It looks like it in the strawberry pic.
Did you take the sunrise picture? If so why on earth were you up that early?
That’s you in the top picture? Were you up all night? I thought Frank Peretti’s first books had over-the-top descriptions of the demons. It made me feel guilty and like I needed to was my hands after I read it. I don’t like to focus on the ugly so much. I’ve thought about reading -what is it- Tilly? His personal story is very interesting. Larry Burkett, now in heaven, tried his had at fiction after writing financial advice books, and I enjoyed them, though you can see him develop as a writer in the first one, The Illuminati. It starts out as awkwardly self conscious in style, and borrows from Tom Clancy’s I think, but I found it the most entertaining.
So, I’m going to music camp for 4 weeks, home for four or so days, then to Korea for another camp and traveling for another 4 weeks. = ( Oh well. If you do have another get-together, I hope it goes well…sniff…
