Pray, Please!
Tomorrow is the day for which I’ve been helping 21 student prepare for the entire school year. It’s the AP Language and Composition exam from 8:00 to 12:00. If you could especially remember Nathan, I’d be grateful. Also, if you read this Sunday night, prayers for a good night’s sleep for him would be soporific, uh, I mean super-ific!The kids are watching Yours, Mine, and Ours. I think I’ll join them and cut out coupons while I’m at it. We are all tired from a wonderful picnic day at church. Nathan’s also tired from waking early for turkey hunting on Saturday. I don’t fear so much during deer season, but there are too many tales of hunters being shot during turkey season. Why else would billboards in central PA proclaim, “Turkey Hunters! Be sure! Identify your target!”
I shall leave you with one of my favorite jokes.
What did one earthquake say to the other?
It’s not my fault!

I remember that day not too long ago . . . very scary. But, I shall pray!
Will do, I mean, about the beige towel thing. As soon as I get over the test…it may take a while…
I’ll be praying! All of your kids are going to do amazingly – I feel rather confident of that fact! You’ve done a great job as always and we are forever indebted to your legacy.
Much love & happy summer wishes!

Hi Teacher Person! I LOVE your joke! lol
I find that I am pretty ignorant of AP Classes. I really should know more about them!
Hope they did great on their tests. I am reading this Monday afternoon, so I can’t even pray for a good night’s sleep for them!
Well…the tests are over now! What’s the scoop on how students are feeling about them?
Hi Mary, just signing in to say hi and see how you are going. Sorry, too late to pray for good sleep and results, so i will just pray for peace to reign. What was the test about anyhow. Australian – no idea about your shorthand.
I have my third chapter of my book up and running. Did you know that I was writing a book? It is based on Ezekiel 16 in a loose sort of way. It will be a romance, though poor Rondi is not only waiting to meet his bride, she has to be born yet! Well, I wanted to follow the reading!!!! I looked for a place in history to fit the story into, but unfortunately there was nowhere where I could find that would allow my story to end happily. Considering this, I have made up a world of my own that is like a parallel land. This, of course gives me artistic licence to write all kinds of twists and turns. Happy day!
Anyhow, if you want to read it there is a link from my normal page to my writing pages. Not that I want to put any pressure on you to read it……………well, not much anyway. Actually, yes I do………………..read it! Read it - go on, I dare you!!! *winks*
Extra chocolate kisses for you for the kiddie-lit comment tie-in
By now the testing is over but I have no doubt your kids did you proud. Can’t wait to hear the results!!
