David’s Latest Lego Creation
David worked today and made this X-Wing from scratch. He wanted LJ to see it, so I’m posting pictures here. We think it’s the nicest looking thing he’s made solo. The flaps open, and he’s full of all sorts of info about the fuel tanks, etc. So, if you are really curious, you’ll have to ask him or come and see it.

At the risk of sounding like the overly proud father, this “Dark Wing” as D calls it is absolutely amazing. I told him tonight that, in my estimation, it is the coolest thing he has ever built. And the fact that he builds these things from scratch just blows my mind! You really do have to see it “live” to fully appreciate it.
That is AWESOME, you have to save it forever! I really think David should be an architect or engineer, AWESOME job D-Man!
Very impressive. Ken would be very jealous of David’s skills. His lego skills are lacking.
Coming from a Star Wars fan, that is a sweet X-wing! As a kid, I was never able to create things from scratch…I always needed the manual! Very cool…how much would I have to pay for him to build me one?
I had my son come and look (he is a big Star Wars fan) we are both impressed!!
About the Pearl’s…… I like what I have read of theirs. I get their newsletters and those have been great too! I have not read any of the Bible study stuff, just the parenting stuff. I have used what I have read with all three of my children, and I have seen great results. When Gabby (11 yrs) was a baby we went through the Growing Kids Gods Way course at church. I like them both, but I think I like the Pearl’s best.
Blessings!
Wow, that’s amazing!
When I was a senior in high school I attempted to build an X-wing “from scratch.” It appears I’ve been bested by someone nearly half my age, because my lame attempt didn’t even come close to this bad boy. Well done, David! I have a feeling that in 15 years or so you’ll be building these for real.
sweet-ums
That’s a nice X-wing. I made some awesome LEGO stuff back in the day… don’t lose it. It’s worthwhile.
it is very cool
What is this play you are doing? Did you write it then? I love to direct, but it can be frustrating getting what you want out of high schoolers. Thanks for your congratulations. If I had become a grandma at 38, my youngest would have been in the position of being younger than his niece/nephew.
